A day of cooking and sharing
Our cooking experiences take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, combining a stroll through local markets with the pleasure of cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
We start our day at 8:30 am with a visit to one of Annecy’s local markets. On Tuesdays and Fridays, we head to the Old Town, right in the heart of Annecy’s historic district. On Wednesdays, we explore the authentic market on Rue des Pommaries, a lovely spot to discover another side of local life.
Together, we meet local producers, discover delicious cheeses, fresh fruits and seasonal vegetables, and handpick the ingredients we’ll use to prepare our meal. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover the region’s flavours, learn about its produce and experience Annecy like a local.
The Old Town market is Annecy’s oldest and most iconic market. Set along the Thiou River, its stalls fill the charming medieval streets, surrounded by beautiful historic landmarks such as the Palais de l’Île, Pont Morens and the Porte Sainte-Claire. As we wander through the market, you’ll get a real taste of the town’s history and atmosphere.
And on our way home, we’ll enjoy the beautiful lakeside scenery, taking in the views of Lake Annecy before heading back to start cooking!

What a great day we had with Sibylle! She was amazing and the experience truly exceeded every expectation. It could not have been better. We had a blast getting a local's view of the market, learning new recipes and techniques, eating delicious food, chatting and swapping stories, and making new friends. I cannot recommend this experience enough. It's a must-do when in Annecy !

Back home, it’s time to get cooking! Together, we’ll chop, slice, simmer and sauté our way through a delicious French lunch, made from fresh, seasonal ingredients and inspired by the flavours of the region.
Time to gather around the table! Once everything is ready, we’ll sit down together to enjoy our meal at a beautifully set table, complete with silverware, crystal glassware and elegant Limoges porcelain. More than just a meal, it’s a chance to share stories, enjoy good food and experience the French art of vivre à table.
And the best part ? You’ll take home the recipes we’ve made together, along with wonderful memories of our day in Annecy. Get ready to bring a little taste of France into your own kitchen and impress your friends and family back home!

spent a wonderful day with Sibylle that started out at the market in Annecy's old town, where we visited numerous vendors to pick out our ingredients. This was the perfect setting for Sibylle to explain the characteristics of everything from the local cheese to charcuterie, with so many versions of each product right in front of us at each stall. We prepared our three-course meal in Sibylle's spacious kitchen, each with our own chopping board, so you really did learn exactly how to make the dishes, with Sibylle giving lots of little cooking tips that make all the difference. We then sat down at the dining table and enjoyed the meal together. This is a very personal cooking experience in someone's home, with hands-on learning and lots of laughter and chat. I highly recommend it.
